Hi Friend! I am so excited you’re here, and when I mean here, I mean that you’ve decided to dig deeper into your relationship with Jesus!
The most popular questions are typically about which Bible I use, what pens, what highlighters… well, you get the point- right? So I decided to compile my daily Bible Journaling Tools and put them in one place so you can find them whenever you need to! Happy Bible Journaling!

Bible. I use these two Journaling Bibles*- one for everyday bible study, the other is more of a prayer bible. I am partial to the English Standard Version (ESV) because it’s not just easy to read, it’s also one of the closest translations to the original in both the Old + New Testament.
Pens. I typically stick with regular Pentel RSVP Pens or ballpoint pens. For more illustrating or calligraphy type pens, my go-to are micron or the ones from Illustrated Faith.
Highlighters. I’ve tried a TON of highlighters, but these are my absolute favorite. The gel ones DO NOT BLEED through the pages! The Sharpie ones I use to keep thoughts organized, and while they have a tendency to bleed through, I try not to press too hard + I only outline on the note section of my bible.
Do YOU have any must-have accessories when it comes to Bible Journaling? I’d love to hear about them! Drop them in the comments below, or send me a link!
P.S. I always keep a journal handy to test out different styles of writing + just to make sure that I don’t mess up in my Bible!
